Biografia
I am a prize-winning poet and video maker whose work has been published in periodicals such as the American Poetry Review and in numerous anthologies such as Florida in Poetry. I was educated at Columbia College and am the recipient of many prizes and honors including the 2005 John Ringling Individual Artist Fellowship and 2006 State of Florida Individual Artist fellowship for my work in Audio/Visual Poetry and the 1997 State of Florida Individual Artist Fellowship for my written poetry. I am the author of seven collections of written poetry and nine CD collections of oral poetry. I have created over 200 audio/visual poems (Dreamstories), performance-poetry videos, art videos and video documentaries about poetry. Finally, I am the founder of the non-profit, SOULSPEAK/SOULMOVES.
