Biografia
Born on December 31, 1991, I have been working as a junior photographer at New Age, a leading English language national daily in Dhaka for two years. I joined the photography profession at the age of 20 when I just completed my high school and intermediate college. Besides my job, I am now pursuing a diploma in Photojournalism at Pathshala, South Asian Media Institute in Dhaka. Before joining New Age, I worked for a national photo agency Focus Bangla for more than one year.
In the past years, I have seen from the widely covered media reports here that Bangladesh, according to Transparency International Corruption Perception Index, is identified as one of the most corrupt countries. It is true. Corruption has spread like cancer in our society. Wherever we go, we can hardly get our jobs done without bribery, especially in the government sector.
Everybody can contribute to their society positively from the field of their work to make their place better for living. I have chosen my profession to fight, though very insignificantly as an individual, against all these odds that make me a victim in my society.
I chose to be a photographer because I believe a photograph can tell a story easily and can influence the people who even cannot read and write.
My future plan is to become a very good press photographer with an excellence of international standard.
