Exhibited at Chateau Rothschild in Austria (Reichenau) in 2016. The beautiful water lily has different meanings in different cultures - from beauty to enlightenment, it represents emotions and ideas. The scientific name of this flower is Nymphaea. 'Nymph' is of a Greek origin and according to mythology it means a feminine spirit that inhabited water bodies like wells, waterways, and spring. When experimenting with new motifs I was inspired by the impressionists - especially Claude Monet and his water lilies. This painting comes from my collection "Flower Power".
