This project was realized while I was studying the relation between sculpture and photography. It consists in the construction of installations/sculptures putted in a specific place and destinated to be photographed and - in the end - destroyed.
Through the photography it is possible to give a new life and identity to the sculpture: it is placed in a specific site that is not only a background or context, but it becomes essential in the identity of the final photography. Indeed the shoot captures and reveals the vision of a special relation between the sculpture itself and the space in wich it is.
The project “Support for image” consists in building a strut to help some images, as if they were living entities in need of reinforcement and comfort. The theme of these pictures will be the conscience and the becoming of nature and its representation on a symbolic level.
The main materials used are paper, white cement and wood.
This practice is operated essentially in two phases: during the first one I build the sculpture, position it in the chosen place and take a picture of it; in the second step I print the photograph and exhibit it.
