This series began with an accidental over-exposure that resulted in an image where the subject's eyes were prominent and everything else faded into insignificance ... and my first model was a cancer patient who died a few weeks later. Given that so many people are "fading" from disease, age or war, I developed my Fading series as I sought the common ground that stays with us to the end.
