This image is a large scale woodblock print. The block is printed in the traditional Japanese water-based method with Sumi ink on Japanese Sekishu paper. The print has been backed with two additional layers of Sekishu paper using a traditional Japanese scroll mounting technique that allows the papers to become fused together creating an incredibly strong, completely archival, single sheet of paper.
