Location: Torre Caetani 1244 Ancient gateway to the city of Todi in front of the Temple of Consolation, the most important of the Italian Renaissance.
As the Trojan horse arrives in surprise so the retrospective exhibition of the artist Romano Paolo Bielli arrives in Todi, in the Tower Gallery - Caetani, entrance of the ancient city along the medieval walls.
An invasion of boxers who, like a people of warriors, guard and remind us of ancient presences, seem to be immortalized in positions of struggle and conquest.
About 40 works including 10 photos of street art in recent years, some oil paintings on ancient fabrics and some recent drawings of small format that overlap with other images.
The work of street art is a parallel but incisive speech, to the M.A.A.M. The pink boxer is born because pink is the color of pigs. For Pinacci Nostri instead the boxer is tinged with burning colors to fight a fire, the brand "Eclissi" sprayed on a dead trunk, wants to underline his victory. Sometimes jumps or plays ball sometimes holes the wall to look for something.
During the inauguration the artist Paolo Bielli (Ring) will also try a performance walking over the medieval walls in the space in front of the tower and having previously covered the same wall of white tissue paper, will be thrown repeatedly against it by a big elastic white.
At each stroke a part of it will fall, leaving a glimpse of the wall below, in order to build a huge globe that will launch into the air, letting those present play.
The concept reveals our human lightness because our mind is fragile.
It is now seven years since Paolo continues to interpret a character he invented (The boxer-artist), a constant commitment that confronts two seemingly opposite but conceptually similar worlds.
