Third millennium: new era? Thanks to new technologies we can communicate in real time with all the universe, but how much of our time we devote to real relationships? And in art? We have programs that create amazing images never seen effects, but we are still able to excite and thrill? Without being overwhelmed by technology, nor denying space, indeed, taking in the best aspects and amalgamating the traditional wealth of experience, we can achieve some harmony between "old" and "new" that is capable of integrating the machine's coolness with the thrill of 'human spirit. Our proposal is born from manually producing aesthetic effects similar to some of those that can be obtained on the computer, while retaining the imprint of our personalities. And, believing both in more collaboration in competitiveness, since 1999 we came to the realization of some elaborate common, we baptized BIQUADRI. More than four-hand works may be described as two and two hands. In fact the Biquadri arise from the assembly of two individual pictorial works, chosen on the basis of criteria time to time different between the jobs that each of the two produces, or created ad hoc. This assembly is done technically alternating strips or triangles, squares, or other forms, previously obtained from the cutting of two jobs, rebuilding between them a harmony of color and texture; the final effect is each time a discovery and a surprise for us. This is in fact something that goes beyond the simple sum of the two images, is the fusion of two styles and two thoughts for the creation of a third way. A sort of born to two monologues dialogue. And, to give greater importance to this merger, we coined the BarCamp pseudonym, resulting from the initial part of our surnames, with whom we sign the Biquadri and designating our artistic partnership. While each work exudes the excitement and the soul of the artist who created it, our "special effects" at the same time contribute to the emotions and the feelings of both.
