Tropical Storm

I am not interested in objective reality despite the fact that each of my works has a basis in the real world. I continue to be influenced by memory and observation of my environment but as always it is how the painting developes and moves on through my intuitive interaction with paint that produces the final image. Mark making, gesture, energy and movement are at the centre of my practice. It is the visceral ambiguity of the paint that excites me.
