This work references film and theatre. It appears as an empty stage set, waiting for the viewer to project their own narrative. Created by the artist, the architecture is hard to place, the work proves unsettling with sinister undertones and somewhat Disney overtones, resulting in a uncertain atmosphere. The paint surface is incredibly flat, but is combined with an exaggerated, unreal perspective. combined, these elements produce an extremely physical, three dimensional image that almost protrudes from the picture plane.
