Adam Bota is a contemporary painter who was born in Linz/Austria where he studied fine arts at the university for arts and industrial design. He currently lives and works in Vienna. The progressive way in which Bota lifts a neo-classically inspired virtuosity out of it's common iconography and into new and seemingly surreal compositions, combing it with a - some times - realistic-figurative, or - some times - almost impressionistic style made him stand out from the crowd of so many other contemporary artists struggling for success and quickly put him into spotlight.
