The Seat Of Wisdom

a sculpture that represents a sitting Maria as a variation of the theme A Seat Of Wisdom in which since Early Christian times Maria is shown with the baby Jesus sitting on her lap. In this sculpture the Madonna sits alone, she is a lap, a throne, in which everyone can take a seat. This installation entails an important role for the public to complete the work of art by taking a seat, because it changes with the person that sits in it, transfering it into a place to rest, laugh, contemplate or lie down (which changes the work into a pieta). The artist thinks of the work as one in a constant state of development.
