Skull

This painting is full of energy and expressive mark making. I am using this way of painting to convey feelings. The painting also makes historical reference to the common practice of artists through the centuries to study, draw and paint skulls in their studios. The colours and energetic brush and line work speak to the life/ death dialectic in each of us.
