Carnauba

The fear of femininity has been recognized as a psychological disorder. Carnauba, Delilabros’ most recent film, follows a pilot as he attempts to cross a treacherous channel inhabited by monstrous lipsticks which frighten him and cause him to turn back. The helicopter is documented as taking off from both sides of the channel, but in each instance, is unable to cross the small body of water. The soundtrack, composed by Delilabros, uses cliché scary movie sounds to enhance an anxiety which is never resolved. Using the language of horror and disaster movies the viewer is asked to contemplate whether this fear is one of unimagined horror or grand comedy.
