Bridge of Trials

Bridge of Trials

Scultura, Censura, Sacro / Mitologico, Vizi, Virtù, Metallo, 425x214x60cm
Referencing both the bridge of razors encountered by pilgrims in Purgatory in Dante's Divine Comedy, and a range of important philosophical constructs: the bridge is a test and testimony originating in Persian eschatological symbolism, to be crossed only by the worthy. The sculpture challenges contemporary notions of corruption and punishment.
Made of brushed steel with steel blades slotting into the steel base
