This is part of an ongoing series of explorations on the changing rhythms of urban life, especially in India. In the era of 'development' and 'progress', where the predominant middle class is shaping the face of India, this work explores the role of the construction industry and westernized concepts of 'ideal', 'weekend' homes. It is shot at a model/sample row house at a popular hillside holiday destination. It mimics the luxurious fantasy fed into people's psyche by advertising. However, sudden movements/breaks serve to disrupt and make one question this fantasy.
