Collar AG is a wearable device that creates a unique experience of spatial intervention. The device pretends to be an audio guide to walk you through the exhibition site, giving you the information about the artwork automatically. Yet, the device will intervene your behavior. Collar AG attempts to experiment this seductive and contradictory situation when the visitors are under surveillance.

To experience the device, the exhibition assistant will use electric screwdriver to lock Collar AG onto the visitor's neck. Collar AG's countdown clock will then be activated and its artificial docent "Suri" will welcome the visitors and tell the instruction. Not only "Suri" will explain the artwork's information automatically when visitors walk near the artwork, she will also warn the visitors when they attempt to move onto the next floor without going through all the artworks on that level and will advise the visitors to move on if an artwork is being re-visited. For every one minute, Collar AG will emit a "bi" sound and will continue the "bi" sound when it is counting down to 30 second. Long "bi" will emit as a warning to the visitors to return Collar AG back to the exhibition assistant. From this unusual audio guide experience, the visitors' behaviors are actually being under control and surveillance.

Collar AG is commissioned by ifva Media Arts Festival organized by Hong Kong Arts Centre.
