TREE a very slow explosion of a seed

Fotografia Digitale, Memoria, Digitale, 13x17cm
"TREE a very slow explosion of a seed" is a work of digital photography taken on a cell phone. It was made from the branches of some trees by placing the phone's camera to emulate the way in which people stretch the arm to photograph themselves and then share their pictures on social networks .
It looks at an ironic view about the narcissistic admiration of one's own attributes and also for being mindlessly conformist behavior in contemporary society.
In an ambiguous way this series of photographs wants to pay homage to the city of London through its famous and wonderful parks and gardens. At the same time some of the most influential artists or figures of human history are celebrated, for example, in the picture titled “Hallo Karl!” that was taken at the Highgate Cemetery were the body of Karl Marx is buried.
The pictures of the oak trees (“Hi Michael!”) at the Parliament Hill refers to the artwork “An oak tree” by the Irish artist Michael Craig-Martin trying to desecrate its conceptual meaning.
The photography titled“Ciao Michelangelo!” took at Maryon Park is a tribute to the italian director Michelangelo Antonioni and his cult 1960s film Blow up where all the park scenes were shot in this place.
