In the creation process of image in the mirror, I have been trying to pursue and think, and on the road of art to explore the primitivity of the painting, the authenticity of the emotion, the expression of the plot, and the social function of art. Through the limited natural world at all levels unlimited mapping out the social attribute and way of act of human beings, like the real in the mirror clearly, I tried to describe them through my own explanation way.

The Dresser is based on some individual thinking of human nature, People can not be a single constant, or you can say that everyone is a polytope with different relative; people always change the role and status when they face different environment or object, and this is the process of make up. Sometimes needs to emblazon， and sometimes needs to remove the mask or change the mask, people cannot draw the outline of their own completely profile. Maybe make up before going out is the necessary procedure for everyone. The huge dresser perhaps in the deductive make up process of an actor, perhaps metamorphosed into a cosmetic surgery; perhaps condense into urban social microcosms.

Since ancient times,dressers and cosmetics are playing an important role in the money-centred
society, but with the development of the society, people pursue external beautiful insanely, and the modern society seems to be more explicit or implicit regards appearance as a necessary scale and standard of interpersonal society. Expensive imported cosmetics, luxury foreign jewelry, popular cosmetic plastic surgery market, this series of manufacturing perfect face artifacts, not just decorative beauty makeup, we have to reflect on these things, the influences and changes for people's psychological , and bring about the consequences. This mentality which insanely pursues vanity becomes a psychedelic of distorting people spirit and mentality. The uses of cosmetics as a contact are also a metaphor of disguise and conceal the true in the communication social or other
aspects of the society.

In It is said that is the eye of celebrity and me? No…it’s him! It’s her! The tiger head portrait is a symbol of power. But in real life there are much so-called right constantly provoke public benefits, or work among the rules, just like the dramatic performance happening to the social everyday. In this money-centred society, animal instinct for people is releasing unconsciously. Many people and the power of things make a lot of rules individualization, and it can be seen as a moral norm, or change itself into the strong orientation. Query the truth about some behavior and things, and then query the truth about the phenomenal world. Because of the inertial thinking, People tend to misinterpret to the object, and this misinterpretation cannot be avoiding.

When you read George Orwell, this picture will emerge in your mind, like the batch production has never been stopped; the rights group is producing all kinds of desire endlessly. In this beautiful city, the prosthesis is in everywhere. Lots of prosthesis spread out from the plastic surgery hospital. The benefit chain of real estate properties like rubbish spread to every corner of
the earth.

The specimen in animal farm. People always stand in their own position overlooking the other animal; they always according to their own idea arranges the vulnerable animals intentionally. The large size animal was confined to the narrow space intentionally, and then our mind suddenly comes into being a complex twist feeling. This twist feeling comes from the rights group which manipulates things that were unreasonable, and make them become reasonable. Driven by interest, something becomes reasonable. Twisted thoughts devour the ignorant mind.

Through my work red, I try to touch the craving in the deep mind, desire and lonely of the young women in the money-centred society. I more to seek direction, metaphor of factors, with the women's individual experience of contact, through the works I want to express the inner experience and self-awareness of women who living in the modern society, and think deeply about the social status of them. In a modern society, the traditional patriarchal do not abdicate, and consumption economy rebuild the new norm of modern patriarchal to women, the women face many inequities and complex test as the men. Face the mighty patriarchal and the stress; women not only didn’t enjoy the advantage brought by the gender, but also to be careful to avoid the disadvantage brought by themselves. As a matter of fact, they are suffering from the pain and anxiety of life as men, suffer the pressure of life, and work hard for their survival.

If I can pray from my deep mind, I hope the true equality will be achieving between women and men,and we can mutual understanding, facing the same human situation together and shares joys and sorrows. This is the path of the development of human society.


Art is a way of observing society, keeping pondering and exploring, the artists should get the feeling, morality, conscience and social responsibility sense of Public Intellectual. I hope that art can help defend our spiritual homeland and reveal the contemporary social problems which are full of disorder and fragment and can be seen everywhere. I also hope that it can present the personal thought of modern human society, individuals, the life value, and the feeling inside, mind states that it poses.
