Floating city

Shanghai means in Chinese island on the water. The city is experiencing a major urban expansion and a vertiginous increase of his skyscrapers along Huangpu river. However according to some expert, in less than a century, Shanghai could be flooded due to global warming and consequently the rising waters.

As a possible fiction or even a dystopia, Floating city dives directly in water the main Shanghai’s buildings, each one forming the base of a bowl which would floating in water. This set of different containers would move constantly due to the movement of fish and show a city in perpetual recombination.

These small-scale models are plastic 3D printings. The material finally underlines the object characteristic of these architectures and all marketing which ensues from it. They are like disposable cutlery as some Chinese noodles bowls.
