AGUAGRAMAS I

Water appears through the distortion of the reflected environment. Water movements cause the deformation of elements at it's surface and this painting reveal it's presence, as it takes on colors which naturally doesn't have.
The photographic image contains information and details that are not visible to naked eye observing the environment directly. And so begins a process where digital medias come to play which allow for a deconstruction of the image, that is later on reconstructed by paint through a meticulous manual technique related to the nature of water itself.
This painting is part of a project that includes an interdisciplinary work (video, paper cut installation, painting, engraving and photograph) looking towards to represent different layers of meaning around the image of water.
