Abandoned life preserver at Hotel Beatriz

This is one of a series of simple paintings about things I saw on holiday in Lanzarote. It is a peaceful island with amazing cacti and palms and a holiday destination for many nationalities. Its proximity to the Western Sahara also brings helicopters, Air Force jets and navy cruisers. So I just painted everything together in my own language. The painting makes its own links between shapes, feelings and colours when I get out of the way.
