Eternity #2

Eternity #2

"The tragedy of old age is not that one is old, but that one is young," wrote Oscar Wilde in his Dorian Grey.

She wanted a youth without end, eternal, and inescapable. She kept dreaming, in a dream-like distorted and distressed world. Today, her body reveals that fear of aging: she's trying to look young, so dismayed to catch a glimpse in the mirror that she closes her eyes, representing in her own mind as the years advance. Is it a dream, or an illusion? Is she or will she be Dorian? We don't know. Thanks to cosmetic surgery, modern magic eliminates any pact with the devil, and the individual remains suspended between real-time and this dummy of a physical plastic. She just has to keep her eyes closed - the eyes of the soul cannot lie.
