The art collection "Profiles" by the contemporary Lithuanian artist Vladas Oržekauskas combines visual and cultural codes from different periods and questions the idea of identity invariable in time. The observer of the analysed works not only becomes a witness of an intertextual dialogue between da Vinci and Oržekauskas, but also gets involved in a dialogue with the author of the work together with his characters, and eventually, with himself. Works by Oržekauskas do not offer a "time machine" that even in a dream could move you to a particular point in human history. The concept of the presented profile is rather an invitation for the spectator to sensually experience a possibility of meaning by stopping the time at any chosen point.
