RAUM

Based on the 3 remaining slides of Frederik Kieslers City in Space (1920) RAUM combines Kieslers ideas with an abandoned Irish cottage. The cottage was abandonded in 1994 when the last owner - an Irish settled traveller died. Irish travellers are nomadic but with the closing of the comons have been forced to settle. This work combines Kiesler's manifesto which calls for 'no more walls' with the traditional traveller ways. The work includes objects from the house as well as photographs of the house
