al largo dell’isola del Giglio nel mar Tirreno.
L’impossibilità di comprendere e giustificare questa enorme disgrazia causata dall’ irresponsabilità umana ci mette in allarme.
Come riparazione, l’artista mette in verticale la fotografia del relitto adagiato sugli scogli,
così come l’abbiamo tutti visto in tv e sui giornali.
Con questo gesto resuscita e fa riemergere la speranza.
La forza di quest’opera risiede anche nel fatto curioso che viene creata molto prima del progetto governativo di recupero.

Do not give up hope ( 2012, marble, cm 38x70x5 - one piece, with an iron handmad frame apt to the wall ) is the recent most famous shipwreck of the Costa Concordia close to the coast of Giglio Island on the Tirreno sea, Italy. There’s no way to understand not even justify the huge loss and victims caused by human bieng irresponsabilità and we are alarmed and disturbed. As a moral reparation, the artist put in the vertical position the picture of the ship lyed down on the rocks of the Island. With such a gesture makes the hope standing again. What is really peculiar is that the work has anticipated what happened later, when took place the government project to regain the relict from the sea bed.
