A community of women (their faces or their body parts) are torn apart by forces pressing from within - insights, dreams, memories, regrets, traumas, desires.
To rip - tears open up their faces. To cry - tears scar their skin.
Ripped apart, they cry tears that create scarification and beauty.
To recompose their wholeness - their identity? - is perhaps the common tension holding them together, keeping them from disintegrating into fragments.
