SAVE THE RAINBOW!

Light brings about Life. Since light is mostly invisible and impalpable, mankind overall tends to take it for granted, as they do life. Its diffraction of the light makes light visible, and magically the rainbow emerges. Thus the rainbow symbolizes the magic of life and its dreams. This work is inspired by my recent visit to the Venice Biennale, and my collateral observation of the disintegration of the eternal City of Light's foundations as a result of global warming. Its architecture appears doomed before long, as evidenced by the deep fissures in the walls of the palazzi I visited. My SAVE THE RAINBOW, as a metaphor for the fragility of life and its magic, is a scream for concern, for attention, yet more importantly, for action!
