The Last Mango Before the Monsoon

This experimental elliptical narrative looks at two stories taking place in the Western Ghats of India. In one, forest officials set up heat sensitive camera's to document animal activities in the night. The heat from the animal captured becomes a memory. In the second narrative, a woman who has left the forest and moved to the city a long time ago, longs for her dead husband, who wanders hopelessly in search for a new form. The film uses myths of Indian culture to examine a human-nature relationship.
