In a not-so-distant future, interpersonal relationships have grown increasingly distant. In order not to have any interaction with strangers, a woman hires another woman to be her own personal cashier. It's not a friendship, not even a partnership: it's nothing more than a contract. And yet one wonders if, ultimately, they might not be unwittingly sharing a kind of profound - albeit quite unusual - intimacy.
