Querencia

In this drawing I am investigating the portrayal of both the space which the bull occupies and the space between him and the matador. Querencia (literally, a preferred place) is a place in the ring that the bull adopts - a place where he feels comparatively safe and where he is at his most dangerous. The matador must try to entice him out of that place.
