Fallow The River

The intention for the painting was to emphasize the feeling of winter in Montana. The changing light and the stillness between sun and freezing snow falls. How home feels with it's changing atmospheres of contrasting comfort and claustrophobia.

In "Fallow The River" I brought back the feelings I remember as a child iceskating on the frozen rivers and lakes; the great expanse of sky, shadowy mountain ranges in the back ground fading, and the quiet as steaming breath floated skyward.
