Sensorium H

The artist creates a phenomenological encounter of sensory dilation with her kinetic sculpture and mixed media works on paper. A heightened awareness of our own perceptual faculties, an engagement of all five senses that are often distant, almost theoretical notions as the connection to the body comes into question. More than just a lyrical or hedonistic desire to connect with our senses, Darvall’s Sensorium: The Unfurling responds to this contemporary crisis of perception and suggests how this might be refashioned through colour, sound, smell, taste, and touch.
