Commissioned as the centerpiece for their new columbarium garden, Serenity is installed in Greenwood Cemetery in the Town of Halton Hills.
Fabricated from welded aluminum and featuring an extruded golden dove, the sculpture is finished in an iridescent metallic bronze, giving a sense of depth to the surface and conveying the impression of staring into the universe.
Representing the transition from the rigid confines of earthly existence to the unbounded possibilities of heavenly essence, the stylized figure of the dove ascending lightens and softens the sculpture with flowing lines.
Using negative space to frame the sky, Serenity creates a contemplative focal point at the heart of the garden, drawing visitors thoughts and spirits upward.
