Daisy

"Diasy" was created with the combination of film photography and digital manipulation. The original photograph was taken with a large format 4x5'' camera as a studio portrait. After processing and scanning the film, the portrait was overlaid with a custom floral design inspired by the pattern on the model's clothing. The floral design extends from the background and over the figure, creating a tension between the flatness of the pattern and the depth found in a traditional portrait photograph.
