Translations
Translations is a live audiovisual set, performed by video artists Claire Fristot aka A-li-ce and Elsa Vieira aka Monkeyfish.
The two artists travelled for 2 weeks in February and March of 2009, one week each in Portugal and France, to gather video and audio materials about the local and national cultures of the two countries, interviewing people about their stories and lives, in order to create a live documentary mix. This performance was created as a giant triptyque on an airport runway for the Mars en Braconne Festival in Charente, France (03/2009) and a version will be performed at abertura3, vjing and real-time audiovisual performance event in Lisbon, Portugal (07/2009)
