BJ+LG

This work is made up of two images placed on one piece of standard printer paper. Both images were completed during a Skype session between Barbara Scheed in Montreal, and Lee Roth in Halifax. During this session, an episode of Seinfeld was watched by both artists.

One image consists of Barbara Scheed’s head, as seen on Skype, superimposed onto Jerry Seinfeld’s body. The other image consists of Lee Roth’s head, as seen on Skype, superimposed onto George Costanza’s body.

The resultant work is a conflation of Skype, Seinfeld, Mac, Sony, LG, Barbara Scheed, and Lee Roth. Each image is made from a Skype screen inside of a Seinfeld episode inside of a computer screen, captured by an LG cell phone, then imported back onto a computer, arranged onto a white field and printed onto paper.
