Imaginary Gallery

Imaginary Gallery , a large 2 x 3 metre canvas portrays my ideal gallery of the future, with paintings, sculptures and art objects from 2500 years of art history, From a Roman painting to contemporary installations. The background through the glass roof and windows rears up like the view from a plane landing to show my flight of fantasy coming to earth. I have planted invented parodies and the work of unknown artists I admire among familiar masterpieces. An open plan layout, (presently unfeasible) glass floors and green walls suggesting fertility give a welcoming impression and a sense of cultural unity, removed from the competition of different artistic movements.
