Space Odditiy N°20

This collage is part of a series based on a basically very organic process of collecting random visual elements in order to create combinations.

This practice of collage is like a side project, I do it frantically during periods I need to "rest" from painting. I've been collecting pictures of all origins but progressively applied a systematic approach (as I do in painting). The use of the recurrent motif of astronauts is a way to play with the notion of space. I carefully compose those collage in order to create specific mental space.
