'Rain and Seaspray on Red-Rock Mountain'

This painting is, like a lot of my work, abstract with identifyable features. The intention is to capture the idea of something beautiful existing outside of human knowledge of it. I want the viewer to feel that this scene might be out there in the ocean somewhere, unseen by human eyes. I want people to think about how much of the world is out there without ever having been seen, right down to the beautiful rock metres and metres below our feet at any given moment, which may never, ever be appreciated by human eyes, but exists nevertheless.
