Edith
Through splitting the voice of Edith Piaf from any clear syntactical structure, the work aims to treat the voice as both a part of and apart from its corporeal source. What remains rests somewhere between the Object and Subject voice. By dislocating the voice from language in this way allows us to consider the voice as a kind of corporeal material, produced by a subject but never possessed by it.
