Untitled
Painting is understood as a device in which a possible world and new visual maps unfold in a incessant display of recognizable and shape-shifting things that at the same time suggest a deep sight into real facts.
Distortions, styling, geometrical synthesis and abstractions are the processes through which the artist attempts to objectify his imaginary with an care in composition and cromatic balance.
Salvetti feels that painting can be still alive only if pushed towards its more extreme boundaries : the artist likes to play with its language and range of possibilities, with the result that his production oscillates between studies on the classic iconography (portraits, landscapes, still -life) and more abstract and experimental canvases.
