DIY Chivalry

In the performance Do It Yourself Chivalry, the artist takes off her clothes one by one in order to surmount a series of virtual and symbolic obstacles. In this impeccable choreography, the artist introduces in sophisticated fashion a new feminist argument: chivalry is a concept that came out of medieval society, and is associated with the ideals of chivalrous virtues and honour. Nowadays, the term is used to describe courtly behaviour, in particular that of man towards women, whose ritual terms the artist radically reverses here.
