Recently, I became "An artist whose work was confiscated and burnt by the government of North Korea".(omitted) I complained that my works did not involve issues concerning politics, government, or favouritism. "You illustrated the British flag in your work." Are you saying that makes my work inappropriate? "You also had the South Korean flag! These images caused your works to be burnt." To the North Koreans, the works had contained disturbing subject matter and so they felt it was a direct threat to their country. I muttered to myself that it was all a misunderstanding, and it had never been my intention to hurt or threaten anyone. I am going to interpret "An artist whose work was confiscated and burnt by the government of North Korea" as culture shock, not caused by complicated social or political issues. I will consider this matter as being similar to incidents like the misunderstandings of culture which I have been dealing with recently. This particular misunderstanding generated an irony by creating a mixture of a tragedy, a comedy, and a drama. This event has become a source of hardcore black comedy in my life.(omitted)
