When I was a child, origami fortune tellers were a popular diversion during class time or other spouts of boredom. Make one yourself and look at it straight-on. Imagine your own face looking back. Now burn that image to the paper, unfold it, and observe the disjointed segments. Try and imagine what bizarre and arbitrary forces ever held it together in the first place.
