These dyed and ink drawn canvas represent women from the Cambodian diaspora. They share memories of community from their homeland. The feeling of being uprooted brings back images of places that are not valued today. Many buildings are in danger of being torn down while others, already gone, only exist as memories for the uprooted. Women tend to be the ones that pass on a sense of Cambodian cultural heritage.
