Sunyata (Sanscrit noun) means 'emptiness' or 'voidness'. In Buddha's spiritual teaching, insight into this emptiness/voidness of phenomena can lead to wisdom, inner peace and cultural interdependency. However, the lack of interdependency as promoted by contemporary Western society means that this notion of emptiness/voidness will endure.

I really appreciate the way you explore female identity; your works are powerful, strong and emotional at the same time.

- I like the way the richer blacks bleed into the form- very powerful psychologically but more from the point of view of the depersonalisation (emptiness/void) that pornography inflicts on an identity (like Dumas)

Just re-read my description of 'Sunyata' and thought I should add that the Buddist and Western notions of emptiness/voidness are contradictory and illustrative of the lack of cultural interdependence between East and West.
