A Solstice View From Here

Through my art, I aim to initiate a refreshing experience by stimulating contemplation and escapism. “A Solstice View From Here”, like many of my recent works, provides a glimpse of a pictorial consequence that is, at first glance, inviting and free to inhabit. However, upon closer observation a potentially dangerous new reality – spurred by ambiguity and form – comes into focus.

Subsequently, a viewer will find that my work comments on current social and environmental issues while revealing how I see the world around me; interconnected and constantly shifting between the familiar and unfamiliar.

Note: The surface of my work includes unpainted areas of stainless steel that reflect light and motion, adding to the visual impact of the work. Therefore, photography of the work will never truly represent the surface quality of the actual painting.
