Biografia
Lisa Evans was born in 1992. She grew up in Pembrokeshire, Wales, UK and now lives in Cardiff. Lisa graduated from Carmarthen School of Art with a first class honours degree in Fine Art Sculpture. Lisa is currently studying for her MFA at Cardiff School of Art & Design.
My current work explores the human form; confronting the boundaries of material and object manipulation. Foam, bronze, lard and human hair are at present the main mediums. The work has a fragile quality; a feminine aesthetic of oval and circular forms. I am curious by the invasion of space and how both the work and viewer will engage with one another. The distortion of gender, the female form and other repetitive objects/forms/processes are a reoccurring subject.
