The abandoned city theatre of Lappeenranta has been changed to an explosive gallery. The five-thousand-square-meter building offers 111 different artworks: site-spesific projects, installations, murals, sculptures, paintings, videos, graffiti.
Ulla Karttunen has built an installation of hundreds of bloody plastic gloves. This “Biennial of the Lynched” is one part of the project Donna Criminale, which studies hygienic and neoliberal tactics to silence unwanted voices.
